"Dharamshala" has pleasant weather conditions through the summer months, sees heavy rains during monsoon and snowfall in winters. "Dharamshala" can be visited throughout the year. In winters here are very cold with occasional snowfalls; however, it makes the valley look much more beautiful. Summers are pleasant with maximum temperature around 25 degrees. "Dharamshala" is the most appealing hill stations that can be visited throughout the year. That offers a breathtaking view of the mountains of Dhauladhar and the lush coniferous forests. The exotic culture in "Dharamshala" along with Buddhists monasteries is attractive; it is an important center for the Buddhists. "Dharamshala" is a great tourist destination and can be visited any time of the year.

March to July: If you are looking to beat the scorching summer heat, then March to about mid-July is just the time to go. Summer months are perfect for a trip to the hills when the temperatures range somewhere between 22°C and 35°C. It’s also the ideal time for trekking tours on scenic beauty. Most tourists prefer going to "Dharamshala" at this time so it’s also the most crowded. It’s a good idea to plan your trip around the Buddhist Losar Festival that takes place in February or March.

December to February: Winters in "Dharamshala" are freezing, but if you enjoy the cold and snow-white mountains, then this is a beautiful time to visit. It snows here during this time and the temperature tends to dip below -1 °C. Remember to carry lots of woolens and protection against chilly winds.

1.    By Bus-"Dharamshala" is well-connected by road network to all major cities in north India. National Highway connects "Dharamshala" to the nearest big city of Chandigarh. HRTC (Himachal Road Transport Corporation) runs 24 daily bus services between "Dharamshala" to Delhi. 

2.    By Train- "Dharamshala" is not well connected by train, nearest railway station is Pathankot, it is about 90 km from "Dharamshala". And nearest toy train station is Kangra, the starting point of the train is pathankot.

3.    By Flights- There is a one Airport in "Dharamshala", and par day flights are come from Delhi.  The Gagal Airport is 18 Km from "Dharamshala".
